Gluing a vinylic or carpet tiles down again

Not only can a loosely packed carpet or ceramic floor covering be unattractive, it can also be a minor risk and a tripping hazard. What is more, a carpet or ceramic floor covering can also be a very dangerous and unattractive material. Use Selleys Gel Grip if you have very light weight materials (e.g. cork) or if you glue them to a vertically applied area. Selleys Kwik Grip is used for horizontally and non-porous materials (e.g. vinyl).

Selleys Kwik Grip Spray can also be tried for fast and simple use or for solvent-sensitive finishes. In order to clean the finish, just make sure that the old paste has been treated with turpentine and that the finish is clean and dried. Gently join the two faces as the adhesives immediately bind and are loaded with a tile or other heavier item.

When trying to bond a curved or shaped ceramic floor slab, try warming it with a hairdryer before application of the adhesive, as the temperature will allow the slab to more easily curve into the right form.
